We’re closing down.

We’ve made the difficult decision to wrap up our cleaning operations. You can, however, still buy our bins and maintain them yourself. Scroll down to read about our closure 👇

To our amazing supporters,

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m announcing that Bloody Good Bins will be shutting its doors in February 2023, roughly three months from now.

Since starting up a little over three and a half years ago, our bins have found their way into almost 50 venues around Melbourne and we’ve donated $1,374 to date (half our profits), with another donation expected at the end of this financial year.

These are amazing achievements, but we’ve decided to move on and prioritise other projects going forward. We’re still passionate about destigmatising menstrual health and using business as a vehicle for generating sustained donations, but for personal reasons and some limitations to the scalability of the Bloody Good Bins business model, we’ve made the difficult decision to close down.

Thank you so much for supporting us. You are the reason this little idea was able to get off the ground. You are the reason we’ve been able to start countless conversations about menstrual health and period poverty. You are the reason we’ve been able to donate to physical and mental health programs, and to distribute menstrual cups in low-income countries. Without your support we wouldn’t have been able to go on this journey at all.

If you’re an existing customer you should have received additional information about our closure via email. If you didn’t receive this or you still have questions, you can contact me directly here.

Yours sincerely,

Matt (Co-founder of BGB)
